At CAD Editor (the “application”), we value your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the application, why it is collected and what rights you have.
1. Data Collected
- Device information: When you use the “Report a Problem” feature and send us an email and/or through our application diagnostics and analytics infrastructure (Firebase and Google Analytics), your device brand and model, operating system version, application version, and in-app usage and interaction data may be collected.
- Advertising ID: The application uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier and certain device and usage data in order to display advertisements and, if you have granted permission, personalize them.
- Location data (GPS): GPS location and geodetic calculation features are processed on your device. Your location data is evaluated in the relevant calculations only when you enable it for stakeout or measurement operations.
- Your cloud and project files: You may store your projects in our own cloud storage service, “CE Cloud,” or upload them to connected third-party cloud services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud and Backblaze. In that case, your file contents, file names and related account credentials are stored in the infrastructure of the relevant cloud provider, including CE Cloud.
- Crash logs: The application may collect crash and error logs through Firebase so that problems can be identified and corrected. You may also submit a report to us voluntarily through “Report a Problem.”
2. Why Data Is Collected
The collected data is used to display advertisements so that we can keep the application free, analyze and improve application performance and usage, investigate and resolve problems you report, enable GPS and geodetic features, and synchronize your project files with the cloud service you choose.
3. Google AdMob
The application uses Google AdMob (Google LLC) to display advertisements. AdMob collects and processes data under Google's own privacy policy and advertising policies. You can reset your device's advertising identifier or turn off personalized advertisements in your device settings under Google Settings and Ads. For more information, visit policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
4. Third-Party Services
The application uses the following third-party services and infrastructure:
- Google AdMob — advertisement display
- Firebase (Google) — application infrastructure, diagnostics and crash reporting
- Google Analytics — usage statistics and analytics
- Mapbox — satellite map display for Point Stakeout. The map is provided by Mapbox; Mapbox may collect anonymized usage and telemetry data. You can disable telemetry from the attribution (i) menu on the map.
- CE Cloud — CAD Editor's own cloud storage service
- Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud and Backblaze — third-party cloud storage services that you may choose to connect
Each of these services is subject to its own privacy policy. When you connect a cloud service, we recommend reviewing that service's privacy policy as well.
5. Data Security and Retention
Your data is stored using industry-standard security measures according to the service you use, whether CE Cloud, Firebase or a connected third-party cloud provider. When you delete the application, local data on your device, including projects and settings, is deleted; files stored in the cloud remain in the relevant cloud account.
6. Your Rights (Data Deletion and Contact)
- You can contact us at the email address below to request deletion of data stored in CE Cloud or problem reports that you have sent to us by email.
- You can manage or delete data that AdMob has collected about you through the “Ad Settings” section of your Google Account.
- For data stored in Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud or Backblaze, you can use the account settings of the relevant service.
- For any privacy-related question, request or data-deletion application, you can use the address in the contact box.
7. Children's Privacy
The application does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.
